FOR THE LOVE OF TOP BUNS AND SMOKEY EYES Q: Are there any household items I can use to remove eye makeup? A: I have tried out a few products but as a contact wearer I will give you the least irritating. I soak a few cotton balls in water and add a few drops of olive oil to the cotton ball before wiping my eyes. A few cotton balls will do as the oil helps break down the makeup and remove it. A: Most of us have realized the importance of using a sun screen on your face but we sometimes forget about our hands. I would recommend that you wipe excess sunscreen on the back of your hands in order to protect them as well. This will deft. knock some years off of your hands.

No matter the distance you will always be in my heart. (Taken with instagram) I was raised by my Bigma (my great-grandmother) and we were extremely close. We were always caught laughing together, reading the bible together, praying together, walking together… inseparable. She died on May 1st at the age of 98 and I can never be so proud of her for taking care of me, for providing for 5 generations, for introducing me and raising me in knowledge of God, and for being such an amazing, genuine nice, good-hearted person. It is now May 28th and I had no idea how I would continue a healthy life without her, I imagined once that without her I would indeed take my own life through drugs. But because of God and the wisdom that she shared, the good intentions of her heart, I have found new strength. I know now that in fact I am not without her at all because she lives through the memories we made and will forever be in my heart.   Love,  Sweet =)  May you rest in Peace as you await and we all await the coming back of our lord and savior.

O.P.I Nicole — paparazzi don’t preach Q: Is there a way to rescue smudged nails?  A: For some odd reason I messed up so many times on my nails, but I found a quick little trick for repair helpful. — Instead of starting all over again, dip a finger from the other hand in some nail polish remover and gently rub it over the smudged nail. Leave it to dry, paint one layer of your colored polish over it, and finish with a topcoat.

Q: How to tame your curly hair?

A: Never wring it dry or rub at it with a towel, doing so increases frizz. I would suggest blotting it gently between paper towels until it dries and then applying a moisturizing product before styling. 

Q: How to get better curls when blow-drying hair?

A: Spray hairspray on your brush and then curl your hair around the brush to give it extra bounce and hold.

Q: The best brush on wet hair without causing breakage?

A: When choosing a brush you want to go with a brush that has widely-space, plastic bristles. These widely space brushes won’t trap the moisture that your hair needs.

REALLY NASTY INGREDIENTS TO AVOID WHEN PURCHASING MAKE-UP Being that I am obsessed with make-up and maintaing beautiful skin I try to stay in the clear from products that contain ingredients that are harmful. I have constructed this list of harmful and cancerous ingredients that are usually in beauty products. It is becoming a guilty pleasure of mine to search every ingredient on the label of my make-up and truly anything that I am putting on my body or in my body. I find it difficult to read in all the science terms but there is always a youtube guru of some sort that explains things in layman terms, which is just awesome! I hope that this is helpful to you when you are in the drug store, Sephora, Mac, or where ever you choose to purchase your beauty products. I would suggest saving it on your phones notes simply to help you avoid purchasing products that could harm your skin, your body, and alter your life completely.  Ingredients that have been associated with cancer or hormonal disruption are: green3  blue1  padimate-O  sodium hydroxymethyl-glycinate  toluene  xylene  BHT  propylene glycol  crystalline silica  coal tar dyes  talc  DEA and TEA (diethanolamine and triethanolamine)  pthalates  parabens   formaldehyde Love, Ash!
